Brahmaputra Board was set up under the Ministry of Irrigation (now renamed as Department of Water Resources, RD&GR, Ministry of Jal Shakti) by the Government of India under an Act of Parliament called ‘The Brahmaputra Board Act, 1980 (46 of 1980)’ for the planning and integrated implementation of measures for the control of floods and bank erosion in the Brahmaputra Valley and for matters connected therewith. The Board office started functioning with Headquarters at Guwahati on 11th January 1982. The board’s jurisdiction covers the entire Brahmaputra and Barak Valley, spreading in all the States of the North Eastern Region including Sikkim and part of West Bengal falling under the Brahmaputra Basin.
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for 01 year Apprenticeship Training at Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited, a Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE), under Apprenticeship Act 1961

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIRED
Candidates who have passed out in the year 2020, 2021 and 2022 are eligible to apply in the aforesaid post. However Engineering graduate or diploma holderwho had already under gone training or having job experience for a period of one year or more after acquiring required qualifications, shall not be eligible for being engaged as an Apprentice under the Act.)
AGE LIMIT
Not less than eighteen years and upper age limit is 28 years as on 31.1.2023. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidate, 3 years for OBC candidates and 10 years for Persons with Disability.
SELECTION
Applications received online will be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria In the event, the number of applications received is more, BCPL may modify the shortlisting criteria at its discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Personal Interview.The final selection shall be based on personal interview amongst the shortlisted Schedule for personal
DURATION
Duration for engagement of apprentices is for a period of one year only.
GENERAL CONDITION
Candidates who have passed out in the year 2020, 2021 and 2022 are eligible to apply in the aforesaid posts. 1. The training will be governed by the Apprentices Act 1961 as amended from time to time.
2. Apprentices cannot be assured for company’s accommodation and they are required to make their own boarding & lodging arrangements.
3. No travel expenses will be paid at the time of selection test/interview as well as at the time of joining training
4. No transport facility or conveyance allowance will be provided during the course of training.
5. Since this training is governed under Apprentice Act, 1961 as amended from time to time, there is no assurance of any further extension/employment after completion of the apprenticeship training.
6. Candidates will be required to produce original documents along with one set of selfattested copies of following documents at the time of interview for verification of documents failing which he/she will not be permitted to appear in the interview:
o Document in support of Date of birth proof
o Caste/Tribe certificate/OBC-NCL certificate in the prescribed format
o All certificates/testimonials in respect of all qualifications (all semester/year wise
Marksheets) starting from matriculation
7. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply

Interested candidates meeting the prescribed eligibility criteria may apply through the “career section” of BCPL website www.bcplonline.co.in.The link will be made available from 01.01.2023 from 10:00hrs onwards. Closing date for online submission of application is 31.01.2023 23:59hrs. Candidates willing to apply for more than one post need to submit separate application for each post
Before registration the candidate must ensure the following:
i. Valid e-mail ID, which should remain valid for at least one year. No change in the e-mail ID will be allowed once entered.
ii. Candidates should have latest passport size photograph as well as photograph of signature in digital form (.jpg or .jpeg only of less than 500 kb size) for uploading with the application form.
iii. Candidates are advised to read carefully instructions for online submission of application. The same is available in the website.
iv. While filling online application the candidates must carefully follow all the steps. No communication will be entertained from applicants in this regard.
