The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the official Notice for the Junior Engineer Examination, 2026, inviting applications for recruitment to Junior Engineer Civil posts across multiple Central Government Organizations. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online from 02.09.2026.

- Paper-I is qualifying in nature; candidates are shortlisted for Paper-II based on normalized marks.
- Only normalized scores of Paper-II are used to determine the final merit.
- Negative marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-I and 1 mark for each wrong answer in Paper-II.
- Questions will be Objective Type, Multiple Choice, set in Hindi and English.
- IS 456:2000 Code of Practice and a Scientific Calculator will be available on-screen during the exam; no physical versions are allowed.
HOW TO APPLY
All candidates must first complete their One-Time Registration (OTR) on the SSC website. Following OTR, candidates can proceed to fill the Online Application Form for the Junior Engineer (Civil) Examination, 2026. Candidates should carefully check all details, upload photograph/ signature as per specifications, and preview the form before final submission.
