2021 ഫെബ്രുവരി 12 നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച പഞ്ചായത്ത് രാജ്/മുനിസിപ്പല് നിയമ ഭേദഗതി ഓര്ഡിനന്സിലെ Self certified permit എന്ന ആശയത്തിന് 2021 ജൂണ് മാസം 29 ന് പഞ്ചായത്ത് /മുനിസിപ്പല് കെട്ടിട നിര്മ്മാണ ചട്ടങ്ങളില് ഭേദഗതികള് വരുത്തി വിജ്ഞാപനം ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു..
Low Risk കെട്ടിടങ്ങള്ക്ക് ഇനി മുതല് ഉടമസ്ഥനും എം പാനല്ഡ് ലൈസന്സിയും ചേര്ന്ന് സ്വയം പെര്മിറ്റ് സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തി നല്കാം….
അത്തരത്തില് സ്വയം സാക്ഷ്യപത്രവും, സ്വയം സാക്ഷ്യപ്പെടുത്തിയ പെര്മിറ്റും ലഭിച്ചാല് , 5 പ്രവര്ത്തി ദിവസത്തിനകം, ഒര് Aknowledgement certificate secretary issue ചെയ്യണം
Self certified building permit to low risk building
Low Risk Buildings
1) Residential building under group A 1 below 300 sqm and height less than 7.00 meter and limited to 2 storeys.
2) Hostel, Orphanage, dormetry, old age home and seminary under Group A2 occupancy having built up area less than 200 sqm
3) Educational buildings under Group B occupancy having built up area less than 200 sqm.
4) Group D occupancy buildings where persons congregate for religious and patriotic purposes having built up area less than 200 sqm
5) Group F occupancy buildings having built up area less than 100 sqm
6), Group G1 occupancy buildings without any nuisance and not dangerous and having built up area less than 100 sqm.

Application for Building Permit
To construct a building or make alteration or addition or extension to a building, every person has to apply for the permit to the secretary as per the prescribed format.
Site plan with the below-given information.

Boundaries of the plot.
- Position of the plot in relation to the neighbouring street.
- Name of the street along which the building is proposed and the width of the street which shall be the width in between the plot boundaries on opposite sides.
- All existing buildings standing on, above or below the ground level.
- Width of the street, if any in the front side or rear of the building.
- Free passage or way in front of the buildings.
- Space to be left around the building to secure a free circulation of air and admission of light.
- Spaces proposed as a garden.
- Position of external toilets, cattle sheds, stables, wells, and other appurtenant structures.
- The north direction in relation to the site.

Other particulars as may be required by the Secretary.

Floor plans all floors together with the covered area, accessory building basement floor and use or occupancy of all parts of the buildings.
- The exact location of essential services like water closets, sink, and bath.
- Height of rooms, building and parapet, thickness and spacing of structural members, floor slabs and roof and details of the staircase.
- All street elevation dimensions of the projected portions drainage and the slope of the roof.
- The direction of the north line relative to the plan of the building.

The total floor area of the building and carpet area of the building.
