NHPC, a premier Schedule –A, ‘Mini Ratna’ Company with 70.95% owned by Government of India is the biggest hydropower company in India and a leader in design, construction and operation of hydropower plants. NHPC has so far commissioned 22 Hydro projects, 02 Solar Power Project & 01 Wind Power Project with an installed capacity of 7097.20 MW including projects developed in joint venture.

HOW TO APPLY?

Logon to website & apply through online application portal available in the section “Career” with us. A candidate must possess valid E-mail id and mobile number which shall be active throughout the process as required for any further notification.

Read all instructions given on the website to ensure your eligibility before applying.

Fill the Online application form with relevant details and submit. After successful submission an application ID shall be generated by the system which shall be kept and used for further communication

 

Scanned copies of documents should be kept ready by the candidate before applying online registration for attachment.

Upload latest photograph and signature as per instructions given in online application portal.

Take out the print of the registration form generated by the system in duplicate with Unique application ID for future references.

SELECTION PROCESS

The candidates registered online with NHPC and have filled all the requisite information in conformity with eligibility criteria shall be provisionally allowed to appear for Computer Based Online Test. Based on merit of Online Test, the final selected candidates will be given provisional “Offer of Appointment”

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply

Final year/ semester appearing students are not eligible to apply. The result should be declared before date of closing of online application.

Candidates acquired essential Diploma Qualification through 2 years Lateral Entry in relevant Discipline from Government/Government recognized Institute with minimum 60% marks (SC/ST/PwBD Candidates with 50% marks) or equivalent grade are also eligible to apply

Candidates should possess a valid e-mail ID and mobile number. Candidates are advised to keep the e-mail ID (to be entered compulsorily in the online application form) and mobile number active for at least one year.

Before applying, the candidate should ensure that he / she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned in the advertisement. If a candidate is shortlisted, based on the information given by him / her and does not fulfill the same / meet the criteria, he / she will not be allowed to join.

Category (SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/ EWS/PwBD) once filled in the online application form will not be changed and no benefit of other category will be admissible later on.

Internal candidates having requisite qualifications are also eligible to apply. They are advised to refer to internal circular before filling up the application.
