The National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT) was established in November 1993 as an autonomous society under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India. NIOT is managed by a Governing Council and the Director is the head of the Institute. Major aim of starting NIOT under the Ministry of Earth Sciences, is to develop reliable indigenous technologies to solve the various engineering problems associated with harvesting of non-living and living resources in the Indian Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), which is about two-thirds of the land area of India.

APPLICATION PROCESS

1. The online application form is available on NIOT website.
2. The candidates applying for the posts should apply on-line through web link https://www.niot.res.in/recruitment_details.php and shall download the filled in application form generated online and produce the same at the time of registration for interview/ Test
3. The candidate must read the instructions thoroughly before the filling the application forms.
4. The candidate is requested to visit NIOT website periodically to keep track of new announcements and changes, if any.
5. In case of technical difficulty in filling the online application form, please send an e-mail to sysadmin@niot.res.in indicating the problem faced alongwith the screen shot.
6. The candidate has to fill the application online and upload recent passport size colour photograph and scanned copies of the documents listed below:-
   (i) Educational Qualification Certificates from 10th Standard onwards.
   (ii) Mark List & Degree Certificate.
   (iii) Experience certificates issued by the Employer.
   (iv) Certificate in prescribed format (in respect of candidates seeking relaxation for Central Government Employees).
   (v) Certificate in prescribed format (in respect of candidates claiming reservation under OBC/SC/ST/EWS Category).
   (vi) Certificate in prescribed format (in respect of candidates seeking relaxation as Exservicemen &PwD category).
   (vii) Copies of Publications/ Reprints of the Journal.
   (viii) No objection certificate (in respect of candidates employed in Government/ autonomous Institutions and PSU).
7. The candidate has to submit their profile upon which a registration number will be generated. The applicant has to apply for the Post desired by selecting the same. On submitting the completed application, an online application Number will be provided by the system for the post applied. The candidates must download the copy of the application generated which will contain both registration number and application number for each post applied for. Candidate without application number will not be permitted to attend the selection process.
8. Request for change/correction in the Application Form will not be entertained under any circumstance. Therefore, the candidate must ensure the accuracy of the data entered and the documents uploaded.
9. Incomplete applications without uploading the required documents, photographs etc will be treated as invalid and rejected.
