The Winner’s Meet-up & Orientation 2026 for LSGD | PWD | Irrigation Gr.1 achievers was successfully conducted at Civilianz HQ, Trivandrum on 22nd February 2026, bringing together newly appointed engineers, distinguished industry leaders, and mentors for a day filled with inspiration, guidance, and professional insight.

The event served as a powerful platform where achievers stepping into government engineering services could interact directly with experienced leaders who have shaped Kerala’s infrastructure sector.

An Inspiring Inauguration

 

The session was formally inaugurated by Dr. B G Sreedevi, Former Director, NATPAC, whose inspiring address set the tone for the entire programme.

Dr. Sreedevi spoke about the responsibility, leadership, and integrity required in public service, reminding the newly appointed officers that engineers play a crucial role in shaping society’s infrastructure and development.

Her words encouraged the winners to carry forward their responsibilities with ethics, dedication, and long-term vision.

Chief Engineer, Local Self Government Department (LSGD)

Chief Engineer, Irrigation Department

 

In an insightful session, Er. Priyesh R spoke about water resource management and irrigation infrastructure, explaining the vital role engineers play in safeguarding one of the state’s most critical resources.

He stressed the importance of sustainable infrastructure planning and responsible project implementation, inspiring officers to approach their work with long-term environmental and social awareness.

 

 

Address by Er. Ajith Ramachandran

Chief Engineer, PWD (Roads)

 

Er. Ajith Ramachandran shared his extensive field experience in road infrastructure projects, highlighting practical challenges engineers encounter during project execution.

Practical Learning Session: PRICE 3 Software

 

A special technical highlight of the programme was the session conducted by Er. Pradeepen Thulika, Former Assistant Engineer, LSGD, focusing on the PRICE 3 Software, widely used in public works project management.

The session covered:

  • Preparation of estimates

  • Field-level project handling

  • Cost management techniques

  • Practical workflow in public works projects

Through real-time explanations and hands-on insights, the session helped the winners understand how technical tools directly support efficient project execution on site.
