Types of bacteria
Aerobic bacteria: Bacteria those which require oxygen for their survival
Anaerobic bacteria: Those which flourish and thrive in the absence of free oxygen
Facultative bacteria: These are which can survive with or without free oxygen
Different types of bacteria that exist in water to depending up on certain conditions, that is survival with or without oxygen.
Most bacteria are harmless, and under certain conditions beneficial to human beings, animals and crops. Such bacteria or micro organisms are called non pathogenic bacteria. However, certain other bacteria are causing serious water borne diseases, called pathogenic bacteria or pathogens.
