The Centre for Fire, Explosive and Environment Safety (CFEES) is a premier laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Established to support the Armed Forces, CFEES specializes in research and development related to fire safety, explosives safety, environmental engineering, NBC (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical) protection, hazard assessment, and safety systems. The laboratory develops advanced technologies, testing facilities, and engineering solutions to enhance the safety, survivability, and operational readiness of defence platforms and personnel. CFEES also offers excellent research opportunities for young engineers and scientists through its Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Research Associate (RA) programs.
