HPCL JOB RECRUITMENT NOTIFICATION 2023

HPCL is a Government of India Enterprise under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas (MOP&NG), Government of India. It is engaged in Refining, Storage, Distribution and Vishakhapatnam and vast marketing network consisting of Zonal offices, Regional offices, Terminals, Pipeline networks Aviation Service stations, LPG Botting Plants and Inland Relay Depots etc. spread across India.

IMPORTANT DATES

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1.Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply

2.Only the candidates registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) web portal and by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT) will be considered for selection to undergo Apprenticeship Training.

3.Engineering Graduates who have completed Engineering Graduation after 01-01-2021 onwards are eligible to apply. Candidates who passed out prior to 01-01-2021 are not eligible for apprenticeship training

4.Candidates belonging to General/OBC-NC category must have 60% aggregate whereas candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwBD (VH/HH/OH) must have 50% aggregate marks in all years/semesters in the qualifying examination.

5.Calculation of Percentage: The degree percentage as provided by university/college will be considered or where CGPA/GPA or letter grade in a qualifying degree is awarded, equivalent percentage of marks should be indicated in the application form as per norms adopted by University/Institute. Please also obtain a certificate to this effect from University / Institute which shall be required at the time of interview. In case where above percentage or conversion is not available then the percentage marks shall be arrived at by dividing the total marks obtained by the candidate in all the qualifying subjects in all the semester(s)/year(s) by aggregating maximum marks. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 49.99% will be treated as less than 50%.

6.Candidates who have been engaged previously as Apprentice or are undergoing Apprenticeship training elsewhere and have an apprenticeship contract with any other organization under the Apprentices Act, 1961 on the NATS Portal are not eligible to apply. In case of any existing apprenticeship contract with any organization may lead to rejection of the application.  

7.Candidates who have got work experience of one year or more are not eligible to apply. 

8.Candidates applying for HPCL on the NATS Portal after 20-01-2023 will not be considered.

SELECTION METHOD

1.Candidates fulfilling all the above mentioned eligibility criteria will be called for Interview. Management reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Interview which will be tentatively scheduled in the month of January/February 2023.

2.All India merit list will be drawn basis the academic results of engineering degree and Scores in the INTERVIEW.

3.Final offer for Apprenticeship Training would be subject to clearing the Medical Test as per HPCL standards and submission of all documents / certificates towards proof of Age, Qualifications, Caste, Medical certificate of PwBD and medical fitness etc.., as may be applicable.

HOW TO APPLY

1.Once candidates have enrolled themselves on the NATS Portal, candidates to log onto ATS Portal using their USER ID/Email ID and password. 

2.Once logged in, on the home page, candidates have to click on “ESTABLISHMENT REQUESTS” and select the option “Find Establishment” from the drop-down menu.

3.Once candidates click on “Find Establishment”, the page appears with two “Search Criterions”, i.e. Options to search by 1) Preferences and 2) Establishment Name.

4.Among the search criterion options select Establishment Name, candidates need to type Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and click on the option “Search”.

5.Once candidates click on search, apprentice vacancies at Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited appear. Candidates need to Click on the establishment name “Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited with establishment ID WMHMCC000051” and select the “Apply” button.

6.Once candidates click on the “Apply” button a message appears as given below “Successfully applied for the training position”.

7.Before applying candidates must ensure that all their profile details (Caste, Educational Background, Personal credentials, etc.) along with aggregate percentage (refer to the calculation of percentage in eligibility requirements) are appearing correctly in their application. HPCL will not make any revisions/corrections to the data submitted by candidates. Candidates are requested to contact their respective BOAT office in case of any corrections.

8.The candidates can confirm if they applied for the establishment by checking under the tab Establishment Requests.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

1.The engagement of Apprentices will be governed by the Apprentices Act 1961 / Apprentices Amendment Act, 1973 and the Rules thereof.

2.The engagement as Apprentice Trainees for Engineering Graduates will be for a period of ONE YEAR only.

3.The reserved category candidates are required to submit SC/ST/OBC-NC and PwBD (VH/HH/OH) certificate/s in the prescribed format application.

4.Candidates must also ensure that the name of their caste/community and its spelling in their caste/community certificate should be exactly as mentioned in the lists notified by the central government from time to time.

5.Interview call letter will be sent over the NATS Portal and no hard copy will be sent to the candidates. All communications will be thru the email ID/ Mobile Number provided by the candidates in his/her online application.

6.Applications with incomplete/wrong particulars will be not considered. The email ID & Mobile number provided in the online Registration/ application should remain valid for at least one year. Candidates must use proper e-mail IDs created in their names.

7.HPCL will not be responsible for any loss/ non-delivery of email/admit card sent/ any other communication sent, due to an invalid/wrong email id or contact number.

8.All the details given in the online Registration form will be treated as final & no changes will be entertained. Any request for change in the category once filled in the online Registration/Application Form will not be considered and accordingly, concessions/relaxation applicable will not be extended.

9.Depending upon the number of applications, HPCL reserves the right to raise the minimum eligibility standards/criteria and modify the selection process.

10.HPCL reserves the right to determine the total number of apprentices to be engaged/candidates to be selected at any stage of the selection process.

11.Management reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for interview/ medical tests without assigning any reason.

12.Management reserves the right to raise minimum eligibility standards and to increase/decrease the number of vacancies. Management also reserves the right to cancel/restrict/curtail/enlarge the apprentice engagement process and/or the selection process there without any further notice and without assigning any reason.

13.All the candidates are required to remain updated at each step of the selection process by visiting the NATS portal.
