Kerala Highway Research Institute (KHRI), under the Public Works Department (PWD), Government of Kerala (GoK) is undertaking various projectsto build internal capacity and tomainstream best in class practicesintoKerala towardsimproving the quality of roads and buildings. Presently,KHRI is associating with premier research institutes in India to take up applied research in civil engineering and infrastructure development.
For assisting the pilot project on “Development of Ultra-High-Performance Concretes (UHPCs) for Road/Bridge Infrastructure in Urban Areas” and connected research activities, KHRI requires the services of dynamic and highly qualified individuals as PROJECT FELLOWS for temporary positions for a duration of two years from Civil Engineering backgrounds. SELECTION PROCESS
The selection process for the recruitment is through three stages detailed as follows.
Stage 1: Preliminary Shortlist
From the eligible candidates based on the qualifications given above, an initial rank list will be prepared based on the following criteria and the top twenty (20) candidates will be selected for the next stage, i.e for stage 2.
B. Tech Score – 20 %
M. Tech Score- 30 %
Gate Score- 30 %
Publication/Academic Achievement – 20 %

Stage 2: Written Exam
From the short list prepared in the previous stage, shortlisted twenty (20) candidates will go through a written test followed by interview conducted at KHRI. The written test will be MCQs based exam.
a. Duration of Written Exam : MCQ – 1 hour
b. Type – Objective type for 100 marks
Based on the scores obtained in the written exam, 10 number of candidates will be shortlisted for the next round.
Stage 3: Interview
The 10 shortlisted candidates from written exam will be required to attend the interview on the same day. The assessment of candidates in the interview will be based on the following objective criteria.
● 50% Weightage to the general awareness and personality of candidates
● 50% Weightage for technical knowledge & subject specific expertise, publications etc.
Final Selection
Based on the performance in the above three stages, the final rank list will be prepared
